Lhe Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Fez-Meknes, the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and IncuBooster recently launched the first call for “Innova Green” projects.

The first “Innova Green” edition is divided into four main phases, namely a two-day Innovation Hackathon on the UM6P StartGate campus in Benguerir.

There is also a presence at the Salon International de l’Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM) in Meknes, offering conferences, professional meetings and networking opportunities as well as training and coaching workshops for participants. Support in carrying out the POC (Proof of concept) and in fundraising processes is also planned, it is specified. The call for projects sparked interest in six Moroccan regions, with 20 projects selected for the Hackathon which was held on April 20 and 21, 2024. Following this event, five innovative projects were chosen by a jury of experts and three additional projects were designated “Favorites”.

The selected projects will also be supported in raising financing and directed towards Tamwilcom partner incubation structures. The partnership established between CRI FèsMeknes and UM6P will support these eight promising projects, by offering them access to an extensive network of partners as well as the various support and financing programs offered by the two institutions.
