(Ecofin Agency) – While it is working to finalize the mini-factory planned to exploit Tendrara gas, Sound Energy finalized in June the reconditioning operations undertaken on the TE-6 development well drilled on the gas perimeter .

According to Sound Energy forecasts, initial gas production on the Tendrara gas perimeter should start by June 2025. The information, relayed on Monday October 7, marks a notable change compared to the commissioning projections of the infrastructure initially planned for the end of this year.

This development comes as Sound Energy announced progress regarding workover operations carried out on the site’s TE-6 and TE-7 gas wells. This work marks one of the last stages before the start of gas production from the liquefied natural gas (LNG) micro-plant.

Stakeholders now including mining company Managem which has acquired a 55% interest in Tendrara gas from Sound Energy, are targeting production of 100 million cubic meters per year under phase 1 of the project.

At the end of August, Sound Energy, which operates the latter, signed a bridge financing agreement of up to 1.5 million pounds sterling (around 2 million dollars) with a private investor to consolidate its financial situation.
