PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The gambling operator La Française des Jeux (FDJ) announced on Friday the cancellation of 5.73 million of its own shares, or 3% of its capital, following a favorable ruling by the Court of Cassation in the dispute between it and Soficoma.

In 2019, the Marseille commercial court found that Soficoma was required to transfer its 5.73 million shares to the company for a price of approximately 15.65 million euros. This decision was confirmed in 2022 by the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal.

The Court of Cassation on Friday rejected the appeal filed by Soficoma against this judgment of the Aix en Provence Court of Appeal, FDJ said in a press release.
