Organized by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and Directorate General for Information Systems Security (DGSSI), under the theme “Ensuring a secure migration to Cloud Computing”, this congress aims to raise awareness of the importance of a transition to Cloud Computing. Cloud Computingto identify the opportunities and challenges it presents and to explore the latest innovations and developments in this area. Speaking on this occasion, the Minister Delegate in charge of the Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Ghita Mezzourhighlighted the strategic importance of Cloud Computing in the “Morocco digital 2030” strategy, explaining that its adoption can catalyze innovation, improve the efficiency of public services and support the digital transformation of administration.

Ms. Mezzour also called on all public and private players in the digital sector to commit and invest in this important project to ensure secure acceleration of digital transformation, adding that various digital solutions are only available at Cloud level. “The supervisory ministry works in concert with the DGSSI to guarantee the safety of the construction site. digital transformation in the Kingdom,” noted the minister, emphasizing in this sense that Morocco is experiencing real dynamics in the digital sector.

For his part, Brigadier General El Mostafa Rabii, director of the Center for Monitoring, Detection and Response to Cyber ​​Attacks under the DGSSI, noted that Cloud Computing was a key catalyst for accelerating digital transformation, emphasizing on the need to establish a framework of trust where the use of the Cloud makes it possible to protect sensitive data and guarantee the security of transactions. Likewise, he highlighted the imperative of using secure Cloud services to guarantee the resilience of information systems and the protection of sensitive data, noting that cybersecurity represented an essential pillar of digital transformation strategies. Noting that the growing reliance on digital technologies in various sectors has led to increased threats to the security and resilience of information systems, he warned that a migration to the cloud that is not sufficiently secure could jeopardize digital sovereignty as well as confidence in the use of technologies for the modernization of information systems.

The program for this two-day event includes several round tables and panels on several themes, including “Accelerating and optimizing digitalization through the Cloud: secure migration strategies”, “International experiences on the transition to the Cloud”, “Accelerating the digitalization of key sectors through Cloud adoption” and “Evolution of the sovereign cloud: emerging trends and future prospects”.
