It is Orange Spain which offers the Livebox 7, a tri-band router equipped with the Wi-Fi 7 standard. As a reminder, Free has taken the lead on the French market and offers the technology to its subscribers via high-end boxes .

Wi-Fi 7 arrives with Livebox 7… in Spain!

Livebox 7 combines three frequency bands – 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz – for optimal management of connected devices and extended network coverage. As reported Ariasea manager from Orange Spain speaks of a “major breakthrough”.

Wi-Fi 7 delivers speeds of up to 46 Gbps, 4.8 times faster than Wi-Fi 6, allowing even the most bandwidth-hungry devices to enjoy smooth browsing . But that’s not all since latency is reduced via OFDMA technology. In addition, multiple devices can connect without saturating the network.

Optimization and performance are also there, with signal modulation improved with 4K-QAM.

For the moment, no official date for the launch of the Livebox 7 with Wi-Fi 7 has been communicated for France. But there is no doubt that the operator will soon announce this technology to its French customers in the face of competition from Free.
