PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The diversified Bouygues group confirmed on Tuesday that it anticipates a slight increase in its turnover and operating profit from activities (ROCA) this year, while its results improved slightly in the first quarter. .

“In an uncertain economic and geopolitical environment, and after a year of strong growth, Bouygues is targeting for 2024 a slight increase in turnover and current operating income from activities compared to 2023,” the group indicated in a press release.

In the first quarter, the conglomerate recorded a net loss of 146 million euros, compared to a net loss of 134 million euros in the corresponding quarter of 2023.

ROCA stood at 26 million euros in the first quarter, compared to 9 million euros a year earlier.

Total turnover increased by 3% over the period, to 12.31 billion euros, mainly driven by Equans and Bouygues Construction. At constant exchange rates and scope, the group’s revenues also increased by 3%.

According to a consensus published on the company’s website, the ten analysts surveyed expected, at the midpoint, revenues of 12.18 billion euros and ROCA of 34 million euros for the first quarter.
