The objective is also to increase the recovery rate, that is to say the actual receipts of money from fraud into public coffers. The minister announced that this fall’s project would include a stricter procedure for universal transfers of assets, a mechanism allowing the dissolution of a company without liquidation, which, according to the government, allows companies that have not paid their must disappear before any control is triggered.
Thomas Cazenave says he plans to legalize the seizure of the assets of people held in police custody, in order to ensure that fixed criminal fines, to which drug traffickers are subject, for example, are effectively paid.
