BGFI Group consolidates its positions with NBI growing by 20%

Under the leadership of its CEO, Henri Claude Oyima, BGFI Group has achieved robust growth for the year 2023, consolidating its leading position in the banking sector in the Central African region (CEMAC).

The group’s total balance sheet amounts to 5,295 billion CFA francs, marking an increase of 9% compared to the previous year. This growth is the direct result of prudent management and a strategic vision focused on innovation and customer service. The group’s net situation also increased, reaching 607 billion CFA francs, an increase of 7%.

Customer deposits followed this positive trend, amounting to 3,311 billion CFA francs, up 9%.

The evolution of the bank’s balance sheet demonstrates renewed confidence on the part of customers, attributable to the quality of the services offered and the financial security offered by the bank. Customer loans also experienced growth, with an outstanding amount of 3,075 billion CFA francs, an increase of 4%.

Net banking income experienced an exceptional increase of 20%, reaching 303 billion CFA francs. This performance underlines the efficiency of banking operations and the relevance of the financial products offered by BGFI. The consolidated net profit literally exploded, reaching 95 billion CFA francs, up 55%, while the combined net profit increased by 60% to reach 101 billion CFA francs.

These exceptional 2023 results confirm not only BGFI’s financial strength, but also its ability to adapt and thrive in a complex economic environment.

Beyond the figures, the year 2023 was marked by the acquisition of the Société Générale subsidiary in Congo. The year 2024 will undoubtedly see the continuation of the expansion strategy of the CEMAC banking leader with certainly a further step towards this introduction to the region’s Stock Exchange (BVMAC) where the old file of its possible IPO remains news.
