soon a 100% renewable fuel?

In a jerrycan, there is an alternative to classic gasoline. This is processed beet juice. It is as translucent as water. So, will we soon be able to run on oil-free fuel? At the pump, we already find E-85, superethanol. It is composed of approximately 75% plants and 25% refined petroleum. It is this second part which will be replaced either by other plants, or by rapeseed or frying oil, or even by synthetic gasoline based on hydrogen.

Unavailable in France at the moment, the amount of this fuel remains difficult to quantify precisely. According to Nicolas Kurstoglou, engineer responsible for fuels at Bioethanol France, who is at the origin of this experiment, this 100% renewable fuel would be barely more expensive than bioethanol. But is it a truly clean fuel? To meet demand, even more agricultural land would have to be devoted to rapeseed or beet. Nonsense for some observers. To be able to be marketed, this 100% renewable fuel must still obtain the green light from the European Commission.
