Amazon prides itself on being a job creator

By the end of 2024, if recruitment goes as planned, Amazon should have 24,000 employees in France.
What positions are available at Amazon, and where in France?
The 2,000 new positions, varied and distributed throughout France, particularly in Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France, and Grand Est, cover several sectors of activity within the company. “ The positions to be filled concern all types of profiles and all levels of skills and experience: logistics operations managers, experienced software engineers or developers, human resources managers », explains the general director.
But Amazon must above all deal with record turnover, linked to very difficult working conditions in its warehouses and which are regularly a Source of tension between unions and management. According to the report from Progexa, an independent firm, Amazon experienced challenges stabilizing its workforce in its warehouses, with an employee turnover rate of 36%, which indicates a complete turnover of staff every three years.
Still according to the firm, only 3% of employees leave the company “naturally”, either through retirement or a transfer. Conversely, in 2022, 25% of employees who left the company were made redundant, and 31% after termination of the trial period.
