632 MDH for the renovation of hotels
With the launch of a new call for expressions of interest, the sixth of its kind, by the SDR Tourisme in favor of the tourism industry, to benefit from the financial subsidy up to 30% of the total cost of the renovation of establishments , this program resulted in a total investment of 632 MDH for the renovation of the Agadir hotel park (program geographically limited to hotel establishments in the city of Agadir).

In detail, this concerns 516 MDH injected by tourist accommodation establishments and 116 MDH in the form of financial contribution from the subsidy of this program endowed with an amount of 120 MDH after its activation in February 2020.

Another contribution and not the least, the renovation, currently in progress, of almost a third of the hotel capacity of the destination estimated at 29,437 beds, or 7,721 beds currently being renovated despite the conditions considered restrictive by hoteliers and the slow pace work on subsidized projects within certain hotels for several reasons (administrative arrangements, granting of authorizations and planning of work, etc.).

Today, this figure is expected to increase during the next AMIs. Currently, following the launch of six AMIs, the equivalent of 17 hotels will benefit from this subsidy mechanism.
