A Ford T from 1922, an Amilcar CGS from 1924, a Renault Torpédo from 1925 or even a Licorne type 315 from 1935… The Valdivienne animation committee is offering its second major gathering of old and prestigious vehicles on May 5, 2024 on the site of the Genêts green theater in Valdivienne.
“A hundred very old vehicles, each more beautiful than the last”
“With a very specific choice for categories, nearly a hundred very old vehicles, each more beautiful than the other, will be exhibited”confide the organizers of the event who benefit from the complicity of the auto clubs of Paizay-le-Sec, the Jante à Étoile de Civaux, Léon-Lacombe de Chauvigny, the Universal Traction, the Dynamic club Panhard and Levassor, the ARLPC of Châtellerault, the APVA 86 of Poitiers and other enthusiasts of old vehicles from Persac (outside the club).
The arrival of all vehicles and their placement on site are scheduled from 8 a.m. “In order to discover all the attractions of our town, we have planned a 42 km tourist walk for the crews in the morning”indicates Jean-Paul Leudihac, co-organizer.
“We have also put on the program a car-motorcycle spare parts exchange, an exhibition of old mopeds and motorcycles, a fun surprise mechanics competition, a Mini’Z remote-controlled car racing track area offered by the association model making in Civaux, a stand of the prefecture’s Road Prevention with games on road safety »he explains.
“In addition, a discovery walk will be offered to the public by certain owners, and around 4 p.m., we are organizing a competition of elegance, which will allow the beautiful machines to display all their assets. »
On the site will also be professionals from vintage car mechanics and members of the parents’ association who will run the inflatable structure for children. The musical atmosphere will be provided by Elle and Les Jean. And to cope with thirst and hunger, a catering area (1) refreshment bar is also provided.
