For the powder and explosives manufacturer Eurenco, there will be a before and after war in Ukraine. “Over the last six months, we have received orders worth around 1 billion euros,” says its CEO, Thierry Francou. Its factory in Bergerac (Dordogne) is on the front line: it manufactures the modular charges which propel 155 mm shells like those fired by the Caesar cannons.
Double production by 2026
The factory will benefit from a group investment of 500 million euros over three years. Production will increase from 500,000 to 1 million units by 2026 thanks to the opening of new lines. This site will soon be autonomous with the creation of a manufacturing line for large caliber powders, necessary for filling modular loads, which will be operational in the second half of 2025 with a production of 1,200 tonnes per year.
Eurenco is targeting one billion euros in turnover by 2030 compared to 350 million in 2023.
