Airstrike – The Israeli army regularly carries out deadly raids targeting President Bashar al-Assad’s army
Missiles have been falling in large numbers on Syria this night. And the toll is heavy, very heavy. According to the official agency Sana, at least fourteen people have been killed and 43 others have been injured by the strikes carried out by the State of Israel. The shots hit the surroundings of Mesyaf, in the province of Hama, in central Syria.
Since the start of the civil war in Syria in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes targeting President Bashar al-Assad’s army and pro-Iranian groups based there and supporting him.
Father and son among victims
The victims included at least four soldiers and three civilians, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported. Based in the United Kingdom but with a vast network of sources in the country, the NGO had notably deplored the death of a father and son who were traveling in a car.
Thirteen violent explosions reportedly rang out during the night. “At around 23:20 (22:20 in France) on Sunday, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from northwest Lebanon, targeting a number of military sites in the central region,” Sana said, citing a military source. “Our air defense shot down some missiles,” the military source added.
