Jean-Philippe Tanguy confirms that the RN will propose to repeal the pension reform

During its parliamentary recess on October 31, the National Rally will submit a bill to return retirement to 62.

This will be the first text in the pile. The National Rally will propose the repeal of the pension reform during its parliamentary niche on October 31, confirms Jean-Philippe Tanguy, guest on BFMTV this Sunday.

“We are going to propose returning to 42 years of contributions and 62 years for the retirement age (…) because this reform is socially unjust and economically ineffective,” declared the RN MP.

The RN, which obtained the first parliamentary niche of the legislature, can indeed submit this proposal. “The niche is the only time, each year, when a political group can make proposals for laws arising from its electoral program,” also stressed Marine Le Pen in an interview with La Tribune on Sunday.

Note that La France Insoumise also tabled a bill at the beginning of July to repeal the pension reform.

“There was no audit, I regret it”

During the European elections, Jordan Bardella had declared that the repeal of the pension reform was not a “priority” and would come “at a later stage”.

He had also explained that it would be necessary to organize an “audit of the nation’s accounts” because of the budgetary situation. After this prevarication, he had finally promised to return to retirement at 62 “in the fall.”

“There was no audit, I regret it,” acknowledged Jean-Philippe Tanguy this Sunday while assuring that the National Rally kept its promise. “On October 31 (start of the RN’s parliamentary niche), we are in the middle of autumn, so we are doing exactly what we had announced,” he hammered home.
