It is a company little known to the general public (apart from rugby fans since its name adorns the Stade Toulousain jerseys) but it is a leader in its field. That of the cartography. The giant Parerabased in Isle-Jourdain, in the Gers, has made it official the acquisition of the Moroccan group Etafat.

Already established on the African continent thanks to two subsidiaries, located in Madagascar and Ivory Coast, the Parera group, 42 million turnovertherefore acquired a company specializing in studies, engineering and topography. An external growth operation fully in line with the group’s strategy, which wishes to accelerate its international development.

A recognized company in Morocco

Founded in 1983, the Moroccan group Etafat, based in Casablanca, operates throughout Africa and internationally (Europe, Middle East).

The new born of this acquisition, Etafat Groupe Parera employs 180 employees and generates an annual turnover of eight million euros.

Everyone stays in place

Parerea “maintains its confidence in the current management team as well as in all staff, thus guaranteeing a smooth and secure transition and the pursuit of operational excellence,” explains the group in a press release.

Enedis, the City of Paris, Toulouse Métropole, Suez and Orange among its customers

Founded in 1968, the Parera Group has developed its activity around the professions of cartography, topography, network detection and heritage data management. It supports network concessionaires, local authorities, real estate managers and the private sector.

Among its clients are Enedis, Orange, GrDF, Veolia, Suez, Total, SNCF, Tisséo, 3F Groupe, Lille Métropole Habitat, Galeries Lafayette, RATP, Ville de Paris and Toulouse Métropole.

The group has eight subsidiaries, seven agencies in mainland France (Clermont-Ferrand, L’Isle-Jourdain, Lyon, Nancy, Paris, Rennes, Toulouse) and eight agencies internationally and in the French overseas territories (Réunion, Madagascar, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Morocco).

The group is also a sponsor of Stade Toulousain. His name will appear on the jerseys of the Pink City rugby players until at least 2025.

While waiting for other acquisitions

“This external growth operation in Morocco allows us to consolidate our positions on the African continent to accelerate our growth there. Beyond that, it also offers us the opportunity to turn our development towards the Middle East”, believes Jacques Cettolo, president of Parera.

Investments are already planned, such as, for example, the acquisition of a second plane dedicated to the acquisition of airborne geographic data.

A turnover of 60 million expected in 2024

With this new acquisition, the French group now has 1,100 employees (including 800 in France) and plans to reach a turnover of 50 million euros this year, with a projection of 60 million euros in 2024. Within two years, Parera aims to reach 30% of its turnover internationally.
