In the publication program from Éditions du Seuil sent to the press, we discover that Camille Kouchner is preparing to release a new work. Entitled “Immortals”, it is announced for April 4, as a “first novel” since it is fiction. The only presentation element is an excerpt. “It is in fact a man and a woman, who have known each other since childhood and have therefore shared many moments of life together. Approaching fifty, the woman, who is also the narrator, returns to herself. »
A gripping book
In “La Familia grande”, Camille Kouchner recounted her close ties with her twin whom she renamed Victor. It was he who, according to her, was the victim of sexual assault and rape committed by Olivier Duhamel, who had married their mother. The politician, targeted by an investigation by the Paris prosecutor’s office opened immediately after the publication of the book in January 2021, admitted the facts during a hearing before the Minor Protection Brigade. But due to the statute of limitations on the facts, which dated back to the end of the 1980s, the case was not pursued in court.
