Friday, Abdulaye Soumah, a young migrant welcomed by the families of the Solidarité migrants Sauve collective, will sign his book entitled I didn’t want to leave, published by Grasset on February 15.
Abdulaye, who obtained his refugee status a few months ago, will welcome the public and his first readers to the Alterlivres bookstore in Sauve.
In his deep and disturbing story, the young Conakryka recounts how his life turned into a nightmare. Persecuted by his in-laws and condemned to exile, he took more than 18 months to reach Lampedusa then Nîmes after a wandering marked by horror and torture.
