Echenoz, Springora and Murakami at the top of the bill – Libération

In Bristol, Jean Echenoz depicts a filmmaker at work and the classification, sibylline in essence in its parade of titles, does not need much effort to hold its line and pay homage to David Lynch. There we find an obsessive hunt (in Vanessa Springora), a city with uncertain walls (in the new Murakami, whose imagination and taste for the double are reminiscent of the director of Mulholland Drive), a message to decrypt (It was never too late breathes Lola Lafon), a promise (on the side of Camille Laurens), a strangely blue flower (Hergé reissued), a tutelary tree (at the center of Jacaranda by Gaël Faye)… Ironically and outside the frame, another Lynch (this one Irish) is paving his way and his name is Paul: the Song of the Prophet, at the opening of our pages last weekend, is 19th. Two great progressions should also be noted this week: Gaëlle Josse with From our wounds a kingdom (22nd) and Constantin Alexandrakis with Hospitality to the demon (24th). Lynchian as hell. T.St.
