With undeniable popularity, the Longueuil Children’s Book Fair will be back for its 19th edition from February 7 to 9 at the Jean-Louis Millette room at the Théâtre de la Ville.

The only book fair dedicated to youth in Quebec, the event attracted nearly 12,000 people in 2024.

“We expect as much this year,” underlines Pénélope Jolicoeur, president of the board of directors of La Fête de la lecture et du livre jeunesse, the corporation that organizes the event.

The theme of the 2025 edition is traditions, from oral tradition to legends, tales or all traditions which shape the child’s identity and help them to flourish.

“Through activities and signing sessions, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the importance of passing on these traditions to new generations,” says the organization.

The spokesperson for the 19th edition is Élodie Grenier, interpreter of Passe-Partout. A great reader in her youth, she wants to share her passion for reading with young people.
