The Les Aventuriales book fair, which takes place every year in September in Ménétrol, in Puy-de-Dôme, offers libraries the opportunity to participate in the Les Aventuriales readers' prize, open to all.
Saturday January 11, 2025, the presentation of this system took place at the François-Mitterrand media library, which has the particularity of highlighting small publishing houses and promoting literature of all imaginations. Those who have a strong penchant for this stream of literature (science fiction, fantasy or fantasy) will have until June 30 to immerse themselves in the world of the five selected works. Everyone will be able to vote for their favorite, it will not be necessary to have read all the novels in the running. To become a juror, you simply have to register in one of the city's libraries; three batches of Books will run in the network.
Selection of the Aventuriales prize: Amaterasu, goddess of the sun, by Yvan Barbedette (a demon slayer is chosen by the Japanese divinity Amaterasu to bring the world out of the shadows); The Odyssey of Origins, by Lilian Peschet (science fiction: a space program founds colonies on other planets); grain of sand, by Louise Roullier (fantasy: an old legend to rewrite the past); The mist will prevail, by Stéphane Arnier (fantasy: the world is engulfed by a mist rising from the past); Here lives darkness, de Sanguine (a Gothic manor house in the English countryside).
The prize will be announced during the Ménétrol festival in September 2025, but an animation-discussion between readers will take place in Tours at the end of the votes.
Saturday January 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., presentation of the Aventuriales prize at the central library, quai André-Malraux.
