The two book boxes at the small port of Lomener, in Ploemeur, were implemented in 2016. They were designed and designed by Joseph Corlay, financed by the Lomener port d’attache association (LPA) and manufactured by students of the Regional Adapted Education Establishment (ÉREA) Les Pins, then implemented by the City’s technical services. They have since enjoyed great success with the public.

It is the Lomener home port association which is responsible for maintaining them. A major renovation is required for 2025. It was decided by the association to name them, on this occasion, after the name of two of the volunteers and members of the office, who died in 2019: Armelle Casareggio, former vice-president of LPA, and Marie Ecobichon, treasurer at the time of her death.
“My grandmother worked a lot for Lomener. She made things happen and brought many projects to fruition. I am proud that she is recognized and that she can be remembered,” says Emerique Barette, grandson of Armelle Casareggio. The poignant ceremony took place in the presence of close family on Saturday January 11, 2025.
