“I felt totally out of step with the world,” explains Jennifer Réthoré, author of the book “Hypersensitive, from Burden to Gift,” published by Solar. Before finding the cause of all her problems, Jennifer was always “too much”: too sensitive, too emotional, too whiny, too stressed… However, this hyper-emotionality, both in sadness and in joy, has a name: hypersensitivity. It is neither a disorder nor an illness, but a singularity, a greater sensitivity than average.
Thus, during the first part of her life, the author suffered her emotions without understanding the reasons for her difference and by locking herself in a sometimes destructive relationship with herself. So when a friend advised her to learn about hypersensitivity, her life changed. A word therefore exists to define what she experienced and still experiences today.
His book “Hypersensitive, from burden to gift” traces his unique life journey, rich in emotions and in complete intimacy, offering people who experience this emotionality a tool to learn to embrace it. All while continuing to question who they are beyond their difference.
