Morgan Freeman pays tribute to Benoît Allemane, his French voice actor who died at 82
CULTURE – A touching goodbye. Morgan Freeman paid tribute on social networks to his French voice actor, Benoît Allemane, who died on Sunday January 5 at the age of 82. The latter had lent his deep and warm voice to the American actor for most of his films.
« We bid farewell to the artist and actor Benoît Allemane, who was also known to be the official voice of yours truly in French cinema », Wrote the actor, himself aged 87. “ My most sincere condolences to his family and to the entire French community who had the chance to benefit from his remarkable talents. », he adds on X.
The actor also specifies that the two men had the opportunity to meet last year. More precisely in June, during the last Monte-Carlo Television Festival. Morgan Freeman also attached a photo to his message showing them side by side.

Benoît Allemane had started to dub Morgan Freeman from the film Ruthlessreleased in 1992. Many successes followed, including The Escapees in 1994, REDin 2010, or even Elusivethe first part of which was released in 2013.
-During his career, the Frenchman also dubbed several cartoon characters, starting with Zeus in the Disney film Hercule. He was also the voice of Baloo in Super Baloo, The Jungle Book, childhood memories et The Jungle Book: Groove Party.
