New literary Christmas aperitif on campus this Saturday, with two 100% Carol books to slip under the tree

Challenge met, according to Etienne Vanden Dooren at the head of Editions du Basson with Joëlle Fensie. Apart from two slight corrections to the final version “to respect consistency”the story holds together. The participants made the effort to align themselves with the same style to write this novel with thriller overtones. In the end, seventy breathtaking pages supplemented by contributions and anecdotes from visitors. The book will be offered for sale at the price of 10 euros during the presentation aperitif this Saturday on campus, but also in bookstores in the region which will accept it on deposit.

“We will also present our 2024 short story collection, number 10 in a series which will be available in full”explains the editor. This collection, entitled “It Smells Like a Tree”, contains fourteen stories ranging in length from eight to eighteen thousand characters: all explore the multiple meanings of the title, over 110 pages.

The adventure of the choral novel clearly appealed to all the participants, according to Etienne Vanden Dooren. Editions du Basson intend to reissue it by modifying parameters: duration of the event, dynamics, number of authors, duration of writing, location. Without forgetting the main thing: the basic ingredients of the story.

Admission to this Saturday’s presentation is free and open to all.

Here are two gift ideas to slip under the tree for the end-of-year holidays. Two 100% Carol ideas.
