Les Escales du Livre 2025, a major event in

With more than 100 invited authors and illustrators, French and international, the festival will highlight a plural literature: from children’s works to mangas, including general literature. Among the names announced are Timothée de Fombelle, Philippe Besson, Camille Laurens and Sylvain Prudhomme, but also emerging talents and first novels. The festival thus strives to defend independent creation and promote new literary voices.

Les Escales du Livre are not limited to the world of books. The event offers encounters between literature, theater and music, while multiplying initiatives to broaden its audience. Previews in bookstores and cultural venues in will precede the festival, with the aim of reaching audiences far removed from reading, in particular through fun and collaborative activities. The literary village, the heart of the festival, will welcome independent publishers and will set up shared stands to encourage cooperation between booksellers.

If the right bank now hosts the literary village and its many activities, the left bank will not be forgotten. The evening shows will be held in the Sainte- district, creating synergy between the two banks and strengthening the metropolitan roots of the festival.

Les Escales du Livre remains a showcase for editorial and literary creation, with bold programming focused on inclusion and plurality. By integrating various genres, such as manga or young adult literature, the festival is aimed at a wide audience, from families to enthusiasts, while reaffirming its support for independent bookstores and publishers.

Les Escales du Livre will be held from April 4 to 6, 2025, with events distributed between Darwin Ecosystem, Chantiers de la Garonne and Fabrique Pola. Find the detailed program on escaledulivre.com and follow the news on social networks.

With this 2025 edition, Les Escales du Livre defends its role as a cultural catalyst and passionate defender of literary diversity, while being part of a dynamic of openness and modernity.
