Jean Rio, from Riantec, and Nicolas Delage, from Locmiquélic, have joined forces to self-publish a book entitled Walk by Jean Rio and Nicolas Delage.
The book is presented as a series of paintings, painted by Nicolas Delage, combined with the prose poetry of Jean Rio.
The central subject is the Little Sea of Gâvres which the work invites us to revisit, from Gâvres to Port-Louis, via Plouhinec and Riantec.
“The album is of an unusual format, 24 cm high and 32 cm wide, suitable for leafing through. Reading becomes a stroll with its words and its visuals”, specifies Nicolas Delage.
Nicolas Delage has been painting for thirty-five years and settled in Brittany four years ago, “falling in love with its landscapes”. For the past year, he has been painting in the form of pictorial albums. His meeting with Jean Rio led him to paint by no longer following his walks, but the poet's pen.
Jean Rio has already published three works. This new album “tours the worlds of the Petite Mer de Gâvres”he said.
The work is on consignment sale at La Dame blanche in Port-Louis, at Comptoir gâvrais in Gâvres, and at the Cocci market in Locmiquélic. It can also be ordered by e-mail to the address: [email protected]. The book is sold for €15.
