The great success of a reissue of Paul Eluard's legendary poem shows us that it still holds up as well.

A very small book slipped into the datalib bestsellers, among those released between mid-August and mid-November. A small white booklet with a blue border, priced at €4.90 (easy to slip into your pocket), with a first official edition dating from 1945. It is the legendary poem by Paul Eluard, Freedom. Well known to generations of schoolchildren who sometimes had to rant about it in French lessons, it is indeed enjoying a nice little bookstore success. Out of 15,000 copies printed, 10,000 of them have already spread into the wild, pampered by booksellers, boosted along the way by an issue of the Great Bookstore where we see a teenage girl on the set reading the poem in front of an emotional Edgar Morin.
