A round table between generations

Quebec authors Pénélope Bourque and Sophie Lalonde-Roux (finalist for the Prix des collegiens) as well as French writer Rebecca Lighieri will discuss their novels When the loon laughs, I disappear, Powdery et The Lost Children’s Club around the round table Transition to adulthood: between doubts, torment and resilience. The quest for identity and intergenerational communication will be at the heart of the conversation, among other things.

Melikah Abdelmoumen

Mélikah Abdelmoumen and Johanne Seymour will discuss with French journalist and writer Denis Michelis around the round table Investigations against a backdrop of social issues: novels to raise awareness. Through their novels – Small Town, Fracture et Mad love –they address contemporary social issues such as attacks in the world of sport, social inequalities and injustices or even intra-family violence using the codes of crime fiction. A discussion that will undoubtedly make you think.

Cabaret pour adolescents

Alexandra Larochelle

Alexandra Larochelle, Valérie , Mc Knoell Alexis and Emilie Ouellette are some of the children’s authors who will take turns on stage during the Cabaret des étoiles. In turn, they will try to answer the question: “How to find your place in the universe?” » To do this, they will present extracts from their to young readers aged 10 to 17 and will be accompanied by the pianist and multidisciplinary musician Guillaume Rivard.
