Lézignan-Corbières: raising awareness about for toddlers

The Relais Petite Enfance, whose premises are located in the city center, invited families to an activity around reading as part of the “First Pages” operation organized by the Corbières and Minervois committee of the Listening Network, support and support for parents.

Gaëlle GuéantThis discount took place for the 4 e year and complements other measures to promote reading, supported by the community, such as the Baby Readers program launched several years ago. Canton councilor Valérie Dumontet was present to distribute the youth album:

“It seems important to us to make children aware of , which represent an object of exchange and awareness. This action carried out in all places of parenthood and it is a partnership with the CAF and the MSA”.

The REAAP brings together several local structures and is supported by the CAF, the MSA, the Intercommunality, the Department and the State. The leaders of the C & M committee are Corinne Giacometti (Peps Aude) and Patricia Pech (Petit-à-Petit).

What is the Early Childhood Relay?The RPE is a structure under the Children and Youth competence of the community of municipalities. The place is managed by Irène Espi and is located in the city center, awaiting the next opening of the Maison de la famille, currently being built in the area (chemin des Romans). The RPE (formerly called childminder relay) aims to meet and socialize young children. It is available to families and early childhood professionals, particularly childminders: ” In the morning, we offer awareness workshops and twice a month, a meeting with a musical speakerspecifies the manager.

It is also a resource place for professionals. We organize six training courses per year on socio-professional practices.”. Concerning support for parents, several structures exist in the region, including the Petit-à-Petit association based in Cruscades, which notably runs the Child-Parent Welcome Center intended for 0-6 year olds and their companions ( parents, grandparents, nannies, etc.). Every other Thursday (even weeks), the LAEP is located in the Pelloutier room, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the support of the intercommunality. Entrance is free with books, games and advice from a professional.
