We knew the talents of slammerof singerof musician and even dancer by Natacha Caillé, but the sparkling resident of La Roche-sur-Yon is also the author of texts and drawings for around ten children’s albums.
To present her works to children, she uses the Japanese kamishibai techniquea small paper theater framed in wood, which allows him to scroll through his images.
This process, initially suggested by a school teacher friend, is become his trademark to liven up his readings in libraries, schools and leisure centers. Needless to say, children actively participate and ask for more.
In Natacha’s magical universe, inspired by the École des Loisirs books, the characters constantly interact with nature. Vixen and Chick rub shoulders with Polo the Squirrel, Little Cloud, Paradis Planteur and Lady Ant.
Around ten albums published
While waiting for the release, scheduled for March 2025, of Parade of funny insectsthe author, who illustrates her albums, enjoys playing with graphics to provoke reactions among the youngest: large capital letters, bold letters, italics encouraging them to embody the characters or musical notes to invite them to sing . The visuals, deliberately spare, but finely drawn and painted, stimulate the imagination.
In my books, there are no moral lessons, but always a rewarding and explanatory message for the child reader.

A lifelong German speaker, Natacha translated her albums into German and presented them in schools and leisure centers in Burg, a town twinned with La Roche-sur-Yon, during a three-week tour in 2024.
His albums, published by Inspir’Éditions in La Roche-sur-Yon, are all in the same format: made to be slipped into a handbag, they have 18 pages, half text, half illustration, printed on glossy paper and sold at the price of €12. To obtain them, three possibilities are available to those interested: contact the author ([email protected]), visit the children’s books section at Agora, or meet Natacha during her Kamishibaï readings and signing sales in La Roche-sur-Yon, in the Chalet des Contes, in Agora or at the Créattitude store, on 4, 7, 8, December 18 and 21.
