As part of Children’s Week, from November 18 to 23, 2024, at the Saint-Varent media library, storyteller Isabelle Gigon hosted two reading sessions on Wednesday, November 20. During the morning session, for toddlers aged 0 to 3, three adults accompanied six little ones and, in the afternoon, a mother was present with her two children in addition to the children of the Petits Loups from the socio-cultural center. The theme was Tell me… a book. Installed in the hall, Isabelle Gigon chose to use a reading mat loaned by the Deux-Sèvres departmental media library. This rug contains a suitcase with maps and Books. Each child chose a card and, on the mat, they had to find the corresponding book. Very well-behaved little ones who took advantage of a one-hour session, a rare occurrence, which ended in music with homemade instruments and singing. In the afternoon, the principle was the same with books like I like books, The wolf is hungry, I love you every day, I don’t like dancing or The Cat.
Next event: December 11, 2024 during Christmas Day in partnership with the CSC.
