Next time you’ll bite the dustbook by the comedian Panayotis Pascot, will soon be adapted and staged at the theater by Paul Pascot. The piece will be discovered at Petit Saint-Martin Theater in the 10th arrondissement of Paris from November 4 to December 29, 2024, with the rising star of French cinema, Vassili Schneider. The play, already sold out for the months of November and December, has already been announced at the Théâtre de la Porte Saint Martin in January 29 to March 8, 2025.
In his autofictional novel, Panayotis Pascot deals with three subjects: depression, the father/son relationship and the acceptance of his homosexuality. The comedian shares his nocturnal reflections with readers. The book does not really have a beginning or end, it transmits its thoughts in bulk, without artifice. Next time you’ll bite the dust is an analysis of his own life with humor and tenderness in which the youngest of the Schneider siblings participates.
Paul Pascot, adapter and director of the book, is the brother of Panayotis Pascot. A project which therefore resonates as a family project, in which Paul Pascot should put as much emotion as his brother into his roman. On stage, you will find Vassili Schneider, revalation in the Count of Monte Cristo, but also the actor Yann Pradal. Next time you’ll bite the dust, l’adaptation from the book of Panayotis Pascotpar Paul Pascot can be found at the Théâtre du Petit Saint-Martin!
