Céline Vignon, responsible for the Mots et Images bookstore, in Guingamp, will share with you each week his literary favorite. This week, we start with Volume 8 of a famous comic book series, The Old Furnaces.

The Old Furnaces – Volume 8. Do you know Pierrot, Mimile and Antoine? These three septuagenarians, childhood friends, whom we discovered with the comic book series, which was partly masterfully adapted to the cinema with Pierre Richard, Eddy Mitchell and Roland Giraud.

Always so crazy but so endearing, we find them here in Montcoeur, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Le Loup en Slip with Sophie, in a scorching climate that will dry up more than one person.

While Pierrot seems to have strange reactions since he arrived from Paris and an octogenarian decides to learn MMA in his garden, Sophie delves into her grandparents' past and dusts off some souvenir photos…

Still against a backdrop of class struggle and the clash of generations, this hilarious social comedy delights us once again and does the zygomatics good! There is no doubt that you will recognize someone among the Vieux Fourneaux! Also discover the series The wolf in underwear (8 volumes) which will delight young and old!
