Chambéry. See you this Saturday at the MJC for Marmo'livres, a festival dedicated to children's literature

This Saturday, November 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Marmo'livres festival lounge welcomes the public, children between 4 and 10 years old, to the MJC (Maison des jeunesse et de la culture) in Chambéry. It is organized by the Jean-Jacques-Rousseau bookstore in partnership with the MJC and the associations ADAL, Lire et faire lire and Appel.

Multiple activities will be offered: games, printing techniques, writing workshops, modeling clay workshops, poetic creation, author signings, book sales, coloring, stories. These workshops are freely accessible.

The author-illustrators Kotimi and Nathalie Janer will be present. Kotimi, a Japanese artist, will offer a workshop around inks, and Nathalie Janer, an artist from Isère, a pop-up creation workshop. For these free workshops, it is necessary to book with the Jean-Jacques-Rousseau bookstore on 04 79 70 18 10.

Interventions in schools before the show

At 3:30 p.m. the show will be offered Stories of the wind in the ropes from 6 years old (duration: 50 minutes. Prices: €13/€9. Reservations with MJC 04 79 85 05 84.

“The Marmo'livres festival fair closes the presence of the author-illustrators Kotimi and Nathalie Janer who are speaking in the Jean-Rostand and Vert nursery schools, on Thursday, November 21 and Friday, November 22,” explains Nadine Delcarmine, president of ADAL , the Association of Friends of the Jean-Jacques-Rousseau Bookstore. These interventions are part of the municipal project of the city Kézako which links cultural structures and schools.

The works created by the students with the author-illustrators will be exhibited at the MJC during the show.

“ADAL is an association which is around twenty years old and was born from the proposal to raise awareness of the Jean-Jacques-Rousseau bookstore, which is independent and committed to the social and solidarity economy,” underlines Nadine Delcarmine. The association offers meetings with authors and conferences. The Jean-Jacques Rousseau bookstore is part of the “witch bookstores” network, the Association of specialized children’s bookstores.
