It is a theatrical biography on Arthur Rimbaud composed of two parts of five acts each, plus a prologue and an epilogue. The first part deals with the literary life of the poet, as well as his wanderings.
“A human life”
Arthur Rimbaud stopped studying literature at the age of 19 to travel, first in Europe, then in the Near and Middle East. The second part retraces his life as a trader in Africa, then his death, which occurred when he was only 37 years old. “I simply wanted to retrace his life. A human life made up of passions, genius, of course, doubts, hopes, work, love, suffering. We put this poet too much on a pedestal. genius of letters, the gifted, the rebel, etc. All this is true, but taken in isolation, all this is misleading. We must consider his life as a whole”, confides the author, who also specifies that reducing Rimbaud to his. adventure homosexuality with Verlaine is misleading.
Professional actor in Bordeaux and Paris for around ten years, intermittent in entertainment, René-Pierre Bourguet's claims to fame are mainly Parisian: actor in the Marais district, in Paris (Molière, Feydeau, Marivaux), as well as 'with other troupes, Shakespeare, and contemporary authors. He also published several novels, collections of poetry and plays on his own.
