THE diVINes, do you know? We know a few of them, from moving from one cellar to another, from one terroir to another. The Association of Women of Vine and Wine in Alsace, rewarded in its time with a Golden Pretzel, invites us today to go from the vineyard to the kitchens for a gourmet journey.
A new page, great recipes
Born from a chance meeting between a passionate culinary photographer and a visionary president who needs no introduction, this ambitious project was born in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards.
In 2023, Marcel Erhard and Véronique Muré sowed the spark of an idea: bringing together the culinary talents of Alsatian winegrowers in a recipe book.
The appeal quickly met with great success among the diVINes of Alsace. Thirty of them responded, each bringing their personal touch and their favorite recipes. … Hartäpfeldàtscha de Mamema, Chicken Tagine with candied lemons… Sea bass carpaccio, apple and redcurrant marinade, Chocolate fondant with red fruits, damson tart…, the book promises a taste journey through the Alsatian terroirs.
And to guarantee the quality of the recipes and texts, Daniel Zenner, renowned chef and author, provided his expertise. He not only carefully reread each recipe but also wrote personalized presentations for each winemaker, highlighting their world and their passion.
After a year and a half of hard work, the book finally saw the light of day in November 2024. A great accomplishment for these passionate women who now share their culinary know-how with the general public. Just in time for Christmas!
30 diVINes, 30 wine-food pairings
And here it ishe diVINes of Alsace invite you in this book to discover their favorite recipes accompanied by their favorite wine. From Mamema's cuisine to that of the market, from ingredients to grape varieties, the walk is as wine-intensive as it is gourmet.
When the diVINes cook, the cuisine is divine, but also rooted as friendly and traveling, those of the vineyards meet that of the world. This book is the ideal crossroads for these encounters, like Alsace ultimately.
A book to slip under the tree!
