Released a few weeks ago, the book “Beautiful residences of Poitiers” will be part of the diplomatic gifts offered to visitors that the mayor of Poitiers wants to honor. Léonore Moncond'huy announced it this Saturday, November 16, 2024 during the reception organized in the coat of arms room of the Town Hall to celebrate this publication.
Written by Daniel Clauzier and illustrated with photos by Maud Pidérit, this work produced under the direction of Elisabeth Morin-Chartier and published by La Geste offers an intimate tour of Poitiers, through its beautiful residences, from antiquity to the present day. It shows around 150 of them and, for 70 of them, allows you to discover the most remarkable elements of their interior.
The mayor welcomed on Saturday, in the presence of Olivier Barrault, president of La Geste, Daniel Clauzier, Maud Pidérit, Daniel Clauzier and Elisabeth Morin-Chartier, this sensitive and modest approach to Poitiers achieved thanks to the owners who accepted to open the doors of their house. An opportunity for Françoise Vilain, departmental delegate of the heritage foundation, to recall the financial support they can benefit from to restore the exterior of this precious heritage.
“Beautiful residences of Poitiers”, by Daniel Clauzier and Maude Pidérit, under the direction of Elisabeth Morin-Chartier, La Geste, 328 pages. €50.
