While the Vannes rugby players are enjoying a well-deserved break after a block of nine matches in the Top 14, Laurent Frétigné, sports journalist at Ouest-France, will dedicate his book “Legende bretonne”, which retraces the epic of RC Vannes (Morbihan ) last season, this Saturday, November 16 at the Cultural Space of the Leclerc center in Vannes (ZC Park Lann, Rue Aristide Boucicaut), from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The author of the book who experienced the end of the season in immersion as close as possible to the Breton club will be accompanied by two emblematic players: Guéna Duplenne, winger or fullback trained at the club, who has experienced everything at RCV from the youth categories to the Top 14 and Cyril Blanchard, aka Bouly, hooker who arrived in Brittany in 2017, during the second season of Pro D2. They will sign the book of their exploit, which is a good idea for a Christmas gift.
“Légende Bretonne” relates the final phases in immersion with the RCV, it also retraces the history of the club which, after joining the Pro D2 in 2016, achieved the feat of reaching the Holy Grail of the oval: the Top 14, during a final that will be remembered at the Ernest-Wallon stadium in Toulouse. The book also details what makes the Breton club special, its attachment to Breton identity. A richly illustrated book essential to all the supporters who fill the stands of La Rabine at every match.
