Saturday November 16, 2024as part of the Book fair du Touquetthe “Witnesses of Light” prize will be given to two authors as part of a debate: Emmanuel Tourpe and Jean-Pierre Lemaire. We explain to you what this price is.

A “Witnesses of Lights” prize awarded to Le Touquet

Created in 2018 at the initiative of the City of Le Touquet and the bookseller La Procure in Lille, the “Witnesses of Light” prize rewards Books of all genres (essays, memoirs, fiction, collections of poems, etc.), with a denominator common : believe that man grows by searching for the meaning of his life on the side of hope, trust and brotherly love.

It will be presented on Saturday November 16 at 10:15 a.m. to:

• Emmanuel Tourpe for his book To the love you will have for each other to Artège editions;
• and to Jean-Pierre Lemaire for his book Bernadette Soubirous, the most secret of saints (Éditions Salvator) as part of the Le Touquet book fair.

A debate on the meaning of their books will follow, moderated by Mgr Bernard Podvin.

Emmanuel Tourpe is a doctor of philosophy by training. He combines his two passions on a daily basis. The art of thinking as well as the art of communicating in order to create bridges between these two worlds that are too often separated. He is today media director of the Pôle Outre Mer of France Télévisions.

Jean-Pierre Lemaire is a literature professor. He began publishing poetry in the 80s. He published around ten collections. In 1999, he received the grand prize from the Académie Française for his poetic work.
