In Trouville-sur-Mer (Calvados), some know her as a singer, but Celine Frackowiak is also author and is looking for a publisher for his third work. Encounter.
“My dream is not only to sing but also to write”
We know you as the singer of the group Bleucitron…
Yes, most likely. For more than 20 years, with Jacques my husband, artist and saxophonist, we have toured a lot in the region. As a duo, we perform on stage, we also work with individuals to offer tailor-made services and host evenings, weddings or secular ceremonies.
And as if that wasn’t enough for you, you also write…
In fact, I've been singing for a long time and I've always written. But, I am convinced that we must dare to go as far as self-fulfillment. Often when you ask people what their dream is, their goal in life, there's a big blank. Try and you will see. For me, the answer is clear, my dream is not only to sing but also to write.
“It took me ten years to write this book”
How was this book Dare and succeed in your metamorphosis… and quite simply your life?
For many years I was a manager in an international communications group in Le Havre. Everything was going well, the job was interesting and I really liked the relationship, the human aspect of management. And then one day, I was unceremoniously fired. And then, in a few hours, my life was completely turned upside down. Total amazement. It was in 2012 and it was very complicated at the beginning.
And then, one day I was in my garden and I realized that I had never really taken advantage of it. It was a simple observation and yet a real revelation, I assure you. And from that moment on, I gradually found the strength, the desire to achieve my goals. And, I decided to share my experience and show that we can bounce back after an injury. It took me ten years to write this book since it was published in 2022.
What exactly are you talking about in this book? Just from your experience?
It is a poetic and profound approach to personal development, a theme that fascinates me. Through this book, I wish to help those who need it to find their way on the path of the heart and spiritual awakening. This book is therefore constructed in two parts: a first part in which I talk about myself, my personal experience and a second part in which I propose a method. Because to take a quote from Matthieu Ricard in Plea for Happiness: “there is no big difficult task that cannot be broken down into small, easy tasks”.
“Four steps to making our dreams come true”
What is your method?
My method is called COAA: first self-knowledge, with not only our light side, but also our dark side. We must never reject our gray areas but learn to know them and heal them.
Then opening to oneself and to the world for another understanding of life based on love and compassion. Then comes self-affirmation by accepting ourselves, letting go, controlling our emotions. And finally, self-fulfillment by letting our creativity express itself. Four steps to making our dreams come true.
And do you think it's accessible to everyone?
Yes of course ! You just have to dare. On the other hand, we must not believe that it happens like that easily, because we decided it. Nope. You have to work a lot and adhere to daily discipline. You have to tell the readers of your newspaper that it doesn't happen by itself, that it really takes a lot of energy. But it's worth it because today I think I can say that I made my dream come true. How happy I am.
Do you write every day?
Overall yes. I like to write at the beach, but I can write anywhere. I don't know how to write on a computer keyboard. I write with a pencil, on blocks of different colors. I really like symbols. For example, blue evokes for me the sea, communication; green, hope, nature. I'm a perfectionist so I tear up; I mess up a lot. I write, I rewrite until what is written on the page completely corresponds to what I wanted to express. I sometimes get up at night to write; but this is in no way a constraint. I take pleasure in it; It’s intuitive writing that flows by itself.
Do you feel like you have wasted time during the 15 years you worked in this unappreciative company?
No not at all. I think that was part of the journey. It was a necessary step to get to where I am today. I really have no regrets. In addition, I met great people there with whom I had a pleasure working. No, no, to use the words of Edith Piaf: “I regret nothing”.
This book was your second book. You had published one previously since then, you have written another…
The latest book is called The Architects of Happiness. It is also a personal development book for which I am currently looking for a publisher. It traces the life journey of four people inspired by my encounters. Four people who have an injury, who doubt their future and who seek the strength to reinvent themselves.
