A colossal research effort
They organized it around six themes: the county town; the religious imprint; old monuments and new neighborhoods; the old streets and old houses; the tribute to the dead and the Moingt district.
To do this, they surveyed the city on the lookout for hidden elements, such as medallions from the 16th century. e century visible in a private mansion near Place Saint-André. They drew on the knowledge and skills of former students and also used archived documents.
They thus invite readers to identify everything that belongs to heritage, in the broad sense, and even recent ones, such as the sculpture by Alexander Calder in Beauregard.
In practice. Claude Latta and Pierre Drevet will sign their book at Librairie Lavigne, Saturday November 9, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
