The 11th edition of Partir en livre is launched. The children's book festival created in 2015 by the National Book Center (CNL), under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, announced, Wednesday, November 6, the opening of its call for projects for the summer of 2025. Scheduled from June 18 to July 20, the event will have the theme “Animals and us”.
Under this banner, the event wishes to pay tribute to all these heroes with the features of small and large beasts who populate children's literature. “True traveling companions and friends, pets follow humans on their adventures and share their emotions”recalls the institution in a press release. Friendly, wild and fascinating or even frightening figures, these creatures now appear in a plurality of stories arousing imagination, identification or otherness.
Projects supported by the CNL
Structures interested in the event can therefore apply online, from this Wednesday, November 6 and until February 7, 2025. If the projects are accepted by the CNL, they will obtain certification, that is to say a financial support of up to 70% of the costs of “ literary activities “. The terms of the call for projects are detailed on the National Book Center website.
In 2024, the CNL supported 199 projects for Partir en Livre. The event was hosted by 2,000 municipalities and intercommunities, with more than 6,300 free and accessible events in mainland and overseas France.
