The Lamballe-Armor library (Côtes-d'Armor) has organized the 1001 Black Sheets Prize every year since 2013. This literary prize for the noir novel is part of the Noir sur la Ville book fair, dedicated to thrillers and noir novels, which will take place on Saturday November 16 and Sunday 17, 2024.
For the 11e edition, the prize this year put eight Books selected by a reading committee into competition. It was Caroline Hinault from Rennes who won with her novel Cross the forestsalready winner of the Prix Bretagne.
In Cross the forests Caroline Hinault features three women, an exile, a journalist, a woman with disappointed hopes. Their destinies will cross in one of the last primary forests in Europe, where you can get lost but also find yourself.
The novelist will receive her prize on November 16, at 11 a.m., at the Lamballe-Armor municipal library.
