“One of the strongest moments of my life”: Castelroussin Michel Denisot publishes a book for the 40th anniversary of Canal +

A gray suit and tie and a fairly relaxed pose: on November 4, 1984, Michel Denisot was the first to speak at the launch of Canal +. At the time, it was the fourth channel in the French audiovisual landscape and the first paying channel. “It’s one of the strongest moments of my professional life. At the time, everyone told us that no one would pay to watch TV”remembers Castelroussin Michel Denisot. 40 years later, he celebrated this anniversary of Canal + by publishing a book “Very first time – They all started on Canal” published by Flammarion.

In this book, he interviews more than 70 personalities who have left their mark on Canal + programs and content. “It was a real aircraft carrier of talent, of people arriving from everywhere. This book concerns three generations, millions of viewers who know these personalities”explains Michel Denisot on France Bleu Berry. He cites Jean-Luc Delarue, Michel Hazanavicius, Jamel Debbouze and even Omar Sy. “It can give hope to many young people who have dreams, we can make them come true”insists Castelroussin.
