Magdalena went to the Nicolas-de-Condorcet nursery school this Tuesday, October 8. A morning where the children from the three classes gathered to meet the children’s author, and learn more about “how to write a book”. The young audience was captivated by the guessing game offered by Magdalena before reading her story entitled Darling Mouse Week.
Short break for recreation, before doing the first workshop of book creation work initiated by the teachers and the author. “We discovered several books by Magdalena. Today, we are asking classes to vote for their favorite characters, who will be the main characters of a story that we will create and publish at the beginning of next year”, confided Ms. Baillat, the director. From the choice of characters, will follow the choice of the most beautiful drawings of these characters, then the choice of events which will punctuate the story. Each class will then be responsible for creating part of the story with the help of Magdalena during workshops, before being brought together. “It’s an ambitious project, especially since a show will also be created after the story is published to bring it to life,” confided Magdalena, delighted to work with these little ones who nourish her inspiration. “I write to make children read and open up this space of freedom for them, the book is an opening to the world. I am happy to embark on this beautiful project with teachers and students.”
