The Book Fair offers diversity in the choice of authors and publishers

The 13th Book Fair, organized by Martine Garnier, took place on Sunday October 6, at La Bergerie.

Around the tables, the public was able to find something to read for the winter evenings to come, with richness and diversity in the choice and number of invited authors and publishers.

The day before took place a conference with Nicolas Pagnol, guest of honor of the show whose year 2024 celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the death of his grandfather, Marcel Pagnol, writer, playwright, filmmaker and academician. The grandson, interviewed by Floryse Grimaud, creator of the Marcel Pagnol literary prize in 2000, specifies among other things: “Of my grandfather’s twenty-four films, eighteen have been restored to this day. Film restoration is a long process and goes through several stages to result in a digital film.” The idea of highlighting Marcel Pagnol came to him when he discovered an abundance of writings in the attic of Jacqueline Bouvier, his grandmother. “I also pay homage to my grandfather, by publishing his works in comic strips. But the show also involves around forty authors who come to present their works.”

This process concerns children aged 6 to 12.”

A few tables further, we meet Jean-Luc Prat-du-Jancourt, passionate about writing. He moves from novels to stories, from poetry to thrillers and short stories.
