Cancon. “The Lords of Cancor” the new book by Marie-Claude Eguimendia

“The spring sun warms the air and its rays dance on the stones of the wall of the ruins of the castle of Cancon…” so begins the brand new book by the painter and author Marie-Claude Eguimendia entitled “The Lords of Cancor” ( printed on art paper). It brings to life in an ancient Cancon, a period of the 13th century and the imaginary life of the Lords and inhabitants of the village before the Hundred Years’ War; including real and fictional illustrations. This time again, it will be for the reader, the opportunity to delight not only with the dedicated watercolors but also with the words, a second talent that we were able to discover in a previous work of poetry presenting his painted favorites (houses, landscapes, flowers…) scattered throughout his beloved Cancon. A signing session is planned for early November at the Maison de Presse where the book is already on sale. Her activity as a painter does not weaken however since she is exhibiting until October 24 in Tonneins at the Painting and Sculpture Salon. “In addition, specifies the artist, I am invited to exhibit my sculptures by Hendaïfilm during the International Short Film Festival which takes place in Hendaye. I will be there with five other artists until the 26th of this month.”
