Saturday October 12, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Delphine Gaborit will present her third novel The Species Councilat the Articerie, 45, rue de Saumur in Migné-Auxances. We discover every day that animals are more intelligent and their faculties more developed than we thought. To the point of imagining that one day a dialogue between them and us could be established? And if one day we managed to communicate with them, what place would we be prepared to give them? These reflections form the framework of Delphine Gaborit’s new book, The Council of Species. In this anticipation novel, the author draws on recent discoveries by scientists and ethologists to imagine a credible future where interspecies communication is possible. Delphine Gaborit is already the author of a detective novel, Keys to apartment 702released in 2016 and a science fiction novel, Crinklespublished in paper version in 2017. As with her first two works, the Mignanxoise opens her book signing tour with a visit to the Articerie. She will be present to discuss her work as a writer and present her three novels. Apart from writing, Delphine Gaborit also works under the name La plume d’Elfine as an editor and biographer.
