Saturday October 12, the Book Fair, created in 2018 by the municipality, will open its doors to welcome authors and publishers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for its sixth edition.
On the authors’ side, Martine Aubert, first assistant, organizer, has their trust, since she is, every year, obliged to refuse some. And, this year, the show is placed under the patronage of a great lady of writing, who needs no introduction, Mireille Pluchard.
A prolific author, his works, well documented and perfectly written, captivate readers, who always follow his publications with interest.
Although she is present at numerous trade fairs, Mireille cultivates special links with Quissac. And his latest work, In the shadow of the capitelle, is located partly in Quissac and Corconne. There is no doubt that many readers will ask Mireille for a dedication.
But the other side of the show is its focus on youth, with numerous workshops offered to children. Thus “Awakening to the five senses, discovering the marine world and learning or reviewing the alphabet”, “Illustration of a real or imaginary animal” will allow young visitors to discover, explore, learn.
On the publisher side, we will note, among others, the presence of locals, Alcide or Complices, as well as that of Diplodocus, children’s books, based in Quissac. Other workshops, medieval and Renaissance calligraphy, bookbinding demonstration, and “Little stories about kamishibai”.
As for authors, it is difficult to cite them all, but, among the essentials, let us note the presence of Dany Rousson (The sunny one, My unknown) and Frédéric Quinonero (numerous biographies of stars, but also Childhood path or Marielle Saltet-Boisson, who will present her latest book Vertigo of eternity.
